I thinks it's safe to assume, by now most of us have been exposed one way or another to the 2012 phenomenon, as I like to call it. The predictions for December 21 of this year are many, they come from very varied sources, and essentially they all address 'the end'.
This predicted end however, is not by far meant to describe a destructive process. We as individuals, as communities, as a planet, have in fact been engaging for some time now in destructive behaviors at the physical and spiritual levels, in our finances and towards our environment. Simply stated, if we continue on this path we don't really need any ancient prophecy to mark our demise.
The Mayas as well as other ancient civilizations did in fact define this now notorious date (or dates closely related to it) as the end of the world, for them there had been different worlds after creation. This was the name they gave to cosmic cycles, where alignment of celestial bodies were such, that they marked major energy shifts, and this was not necessarily a bad thing, quite the contrary for it was actually viewed as something positive, generally speaking a time of renewal, a chance for improvement. For instance in the first major cycle they considered human beings were made of mud, in our current cycle human beings are made of flesh, and in the one to come they will be mainly spiritual or energetic beings, meaning that we will evolve and develope capabilities of a higher order, while still living the life we know.
From the perspective of Quantum Physics essentially everything is interconnected, therefore not even a thought can be isolated. Consider this, according to QP anything can be anywhere and everywhere at the same time, it also states that a particular object comes into existence at the moment we physically look at it. Also consider this, any thought we have, is in fact real, and we actualy bring things into existence with merely our thoughts.
Now stop for a moment and think of all the wonderful opportunities we have, just using our mind and thought process in a positive way. From a cosmic standpoint we are but a small part of this universal equation, however one with the capacity to tap into the energy of the cosmic intelligence, and through this we can bring about wonderful changes.
All it takes to achieve these seemingly lofty goal is literally putting your mind to it. There is a samll catch though, the universal results attained are directly proportional to the the amount of energy put into this transformative process. In other words if we truly desire substantial, long lasting, positive and fulfilling change, the amount of energy required must reach a certain critical mass. Unfortunately no one knows just how much is required, but with out a doubt the more of us that participate in this project the greater the chances of reaching this goal.
As you can see, there will in fact be an end, but only to a cycle, with the ensuing and practically limitless possibilities of creating a far better existence. We all need to rely on everyone, but we must all 'individually' start doing our part to create this much needed critical mass. If we truly want good things to come into our lives, we can start by avoiding excuses like " but no one else is doing it", and just move forward and take action by doing your part.

For now I leave you with this thought; the end is in fact near, but only the end of the negative cycle we are currently living. Just how great the cycle to come will be, depends on you, on me, on all of us. Be a part of the change.
