Why can fear be comfortable? Have you stopped to think of this? Probably notfor it seems difficult to equate fear to comfort, even using them in the same sentence does not happen often, nor make much sense, however we human beings frequently live this dichotomy; and I'll explain why.
Fear in and of itself is a rather uncomfortable feeling, it is a well known manifestation of insecurity, potential harm to self, loved ones, or even property. Fear whether it be sudden or chronic creates anxiety, and as you might be thinking right now, due to these and other mental processes as well as the physiologic repercussions which will stem from them, fear will inevitably have a negative impact on your life, actualy the only true benefits of fear are those directly related to the fight or flight response, a primitive reaction linked to self preservation. The problem is, we humans aside from real potential threats, tend to create imagined threats in pretty much every area of life.
Given the prior, you might wonder why I suggest fear can be comfortable and the answer is not hard to comprehend. You see, few things generate more fear in our lives than failure, and that is at any level. On the other hand, individuals as a defense mechanism try to find answers that can potentially justify their failings or short comings, additionally accountability is something we all dread. Accepting being accountable is probably the single most difficult area in which to attain maturity... regardless of age.
It so happens that fear frequently serves as an emotional cloak behind which we can "safely hide", being afraid lends itself to creating a sense of empathy and even sympathy from others to ourselves, which in turn facilitates that others may overlook or at the very least excuse our mistakes. So why is this so terrible? Getting off the hook, being liked, being excused, all very nice right? The answer is yes, most certainly, however allowing yourself to become a victim in life (or playing the role) because of your fear, will unfortunately lead to a mental molding process which will end up defining your life, therefore you will have fear penetrate every area of your life the samlles crevices of your soul will become infected by fear, you will start living a state of permanent insecurity.
You will feel great difficulty to generate forward motion, a positive outlook for anything will be difficult to come by, and eventually your overall existence will be greatly lacking in Light. Happiness and fulfillment will strongly tend to elude you, and all of this will in turn lead to more fear, creating a vicious cycle of despair.
So as a take home thought, please don't allow yourself to live in fear, certainly don't create it intentionally... Even less as a manipulation tool. If it knocks on your door ask yourself if it has any merit, if the answer is yes and needs to be addressed deal with the issue at hand, face life and its challenges, viewing them merely as oportunities to learn and grow, with perseverance and believe in yourself, you will overcome these challenges. Also accept accountability and move forward to enjoy life in a fearless, responsible and happy manner. One last thing, please bear in mind... fearless does not mean reckless. Avoiding fear, and definitely not indulging in it will lead to great peace of mind, with happiness, success and fulfillment.
Be responsible, be fearless and be well!

Healing energy for wellness, success and fulfillment
Healing energy for wellness, success and fulfillment
Excerpt from the paper 'Living in constant Vata, a western crisis'; by Dr. W.A. Castro
Living in constant Vata vitiation, or as I call it... Vatafication, has led the west to a serious crisis, with deep roots in our health, overall wellness, and also in our success as individuals and as a community. Reason for which there is a great deal of lacking in our sense of fulfillment.
It is evident that without emotional balance, an individual can not be considered healthy. Ayurveda describes Vata vitiation from a psychological perspective in a manner that relates to what western societies describe as emotional imbalances. Our western society lives immersed in, first of all what we call information overload. Secondly, we tend to validate our human worth by our material possession, a far cry from true value and worth. Our constant pursuit of financial stability, not bad in and of itself, has in fact morphed into a pursuit of fulfillment through material gratifiers, not aware most of us that true gratification and fulfillment come from within the individual and require little if any monetary resources. It is my intention to address in this paper how this Vatafication of our society has led to a serious decline in overall health and wellness, to the extent where it should be considered a public health issue; not to mention a grave economic problem, given the expenditures incurred each year in treating mental and emotional health conditions. It is of relevance to mention that aside from the financial burden of treating these conditions, most available western treatments are plagued with very undesirable side effects, they also induce an unnatural and unhealthy existence in their recipients. Therefore despite being necessary at times, the long term use of such substances should be avoided. Bringing balance back to individual's life and to communities and society as a whole, should substantially diminish the need for such medications, this will in turn lead to a healthier more fulfilled society, much like we were fifty years ago. Ayurveda without a doubt provides healthy lifestyle alternatives for achieving these goals, both from a preventive and a therapeutic perspective. Since money and financial stability also play an important role in everyone's life I will briefly address the emotionally healthy way to deal with money. With an Ayurvedic perspective in mind, money is merely, beyond the tangible object we refer to as money, a form of energy in the universe; as with any other type of energy for example food or nuclear, the intention and manner in which it is utilized will in fact define it's quality, in other words it will make it good or bad.
There is a a valuable resource in Ayurveda for restoring this lost balance. Through healthy lifestyle programs, and particularly through energy healing with Reiki. With Reiki restoring balance to an individuals life or even an entire community or country, Vata can be brought back into balance, in fact it is a wounderful start to balance all three doshas. With this initial step, the groundwork is laid to start a healing process which will eventtually lead to efficient wellness, success and fulfillment.

Bliss and Light... with you in mind
Bliss and Light was developed with the idea that wellness, happiness, financial stability and fulfillment are not mere luxuries reserved for a few, they are in a sense human rights. We are all capable of opening our door to an amazing life... It's up to you to move forward in this path. Our approach to a better life is strongly based on several time proven philosophies. As you get to know them, you realize how they all interact and in fact intertwine, despite their apparent dissimilarities. At Bliss and Light we want to share this wealth of knowledge with you, along with the secrets to a better life.
Have you stopped to think how things materialize in people's lives? It's in fact rather simple, yet frequently difficult to attain. Let us explain, everything that materializes in anyone's life starts with an idea, which in turn progresses to a desire, this must be followed by assertive action... Keeping in line with tradition, let's call it work. This work must be performed with passion, with love, and dedication as you seek to reach your goal and fulfill your desires, this is the easy part. Now to the difficult one... Or let's call it the challenging part. The biggest challenge we face to overcome any obstacle in life, is believing it can be done, therefore we must keep in mind that in fact the greates obstacle we all face is ourselves, our doubts and fears, both those created by us (the vast majority), and those thrown at us by other... Remember you're not alone in this doubt riddled existence, everyone has their own doubts, their own fears, and in turn pass them on to others without realizing how harmful this can be, more so when in fact they think they are being helpful by saving you from calamity.
So here are two basic rules for success and fulfillment, first don't invest time and energy in things that keep you from working at your dreams and goals. Second, without being hurtful don't engage in what others tell you... Go through with your plan, if the result is different than expected, it is never a failure, it is merely an opportunity to learn and grow, which in turn puts you closer to your goals, and in turn to success and fulfillment.
So take action, move forward and stay positive.
Bliss and Light to all
